Advent Giving Project
This year for Advent, we gave to people by collecting hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and jackets. These went to the CARE Rooms at the schools to keep kids warm over the winter after we gave away 20 sets of hats and gloves at the Wolf Den and another 29 sets to the kids that receive weekend Backpack food, and a toddler-sized jacket to the Violence Intervention Project.

Our Mission & Ministries
The mission of Algoma United Methodist Church is to show and teach the love of Jesus Christ to make the world a better place.
We do this by: Offering socially relevant ministries that connect the Word to the community; Understanding and responding to the unique needs of the community; Embracing and honoring all cultures, all genders, all sexualities, and all abilities; Honoring and celebrating the personal spiritual journeys of all those we encounter; Recognizing and protecting our natural resources as gifts of God's Creation. Our Mission & Outreach Ministries focus on addressing the needs of our community. We are actively involved in the Algoma School's Wolf Den and Backpack Program, providing meals to students who are nutritionally at-risk. We reach out to the LGBTQ community through Pride events in NE Wisconsin. |
